The Army Lodge was formed to provide a means for men with a military background to practise Freemasonry with others who have a similar interest.

Membership is drawn from among serving and past members of the armed services and from all those with an affinity for matters military.

The military atmosphere which characterises Army Lodge meetings, particularly the dinner (the South) which concludes each meeting makes this lodge particularly attractive to past and present members of the armed services of all ranks.
